In former nissen huts at the old Maker Barracks is a rather excellent little restaurant - well worth visiting - see their website here https://www.makerheights.org.uk/the-canteen Apart from the food, which I thoroughly recommend, the views from Maker Heights are excellent and there are interesting buildings remaining from its former military use.
