A double headed steam special (Conwy Quest) organised to celebrate the reopening of the Conwy Valley line following the extensive flood damage to the track in March. It also coincides with the Eisteddfod in Llanrwst. The leading locomotive is a 2-8-0 Black Stanier 8F number 48151, built in Crewe in 1942 and withdrawn from BR service in January 1968. The second locomotive was a 4-6-0 Stanier Jubilee class number 45690 - Leander built in Crewe in March 1936 and withdrawn from BR service in 1964.
