A mid 18th century town house, which was Category B listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/200386782-72-north-street-including-garden-wall-to-union-street-st-andrews#.XS6_A-hKhPY in 1971; the listing makes mention of its 'original woodwork' which presumably means floor and wall timbers inside, and of the garden wall seen here on the right, bounding Union Street. On the ground floor at least, it's currently a letting agency.
