Retail Theft reduction within the Rock Retail Park.

We are working hard with partners within retail outlets and Wirral Council CCTV to deter and or bring offenders to justice.

The community and local retailers have raised their concerns in relation to people stealing from the Rock Retail Park and people sitting/sleeping in tents outside the shops.
There have been reports of ASB on the Faversham Way estate which is heavily impacting the local residents.

We are working with partners within retail outlets and Wirral Council CCTV to deter the behaviour being experienced and to gain evidence to apply for prevention orders.
In relation to the ASB on Faversham Way we are working with the local council ASB team and utilising CCTV to gain evidence and progress identifications and take appropriate action against those responsible.

Recent engagement with the community and local retailers has highlighted ongoing concerns around thefts at the Rock Retail Park, as well as individuals sitting or sleeping in tents outside the shops. In addition, residents on the Faversham Way estate have reported increased incidents of anti‑social behaviour, which are having a significant impact on their quality of life.

The Neighbourhood Policing Team has increased high‑visibility patrols around the Rock Retail Park to deter theft and reassure both retailers and visitors. Officers are working closely with store security teams to identify repeat offenders and take robust action against those responsible. We are also engaging with individuals sleeping or sitting in tents outside the shops, ensuring appropriate welfare checks are carried out and linking them with outreach and support services where needed.
In relation to the anti‑social behaviour affecting residents on the Faversham Way estate, targeted patrols have been deployed to identify those involved, gather evidence and use enforcement powers where appropriate. We are working collaboratively with partner agencies, including housing and local authority ASB teams, to address the root causes of the behaviour and implement longer‑term problem‑solving measures. The team remains committed to improving safety, reducing disruption to residents, and maintaining a visible presence in the affected areas.
