Some 30 odd years ago the painted legend "Flying Control" in white letters was on the wall next to a white arrow pointing to the ladder to the observation room of the tower's top storey. Sadly, the lettering and the arrow has since faded into oblivion. Close to the roofline can be seen the electrical cable that supplied mains power to the navigation or obstruction light fitting mounted on the roof. Image
