The Tatton Arms has been closed since 2007. It was originally the Boat House Inn and dates back to the 19th century. At one time it was a Chef & Brewer house. See links to old photographs at http://pubs-of-manchester.blogspot.co.uk/2014/02/tatton-arms-boat-house-inn-boat-lane.html Plans to develop the former pub into nine apartments and build an additional 14 houses on green belt land were turned down in 2017 https://wythenshawereporter.wordpress.com/2017/02/24/tatton-arms-development-bid-on-northenden-green-belt-thrown-out-by-councillors/ but that may not be the end of the proposal https://www.placenorthwest.co.uk/news/tatton-arms-refusal-set-for-review/
