Seen from the courtyard, this remarkable building, the Redcliffe Hotel, was built by an retired Indian engineer in the Gothik style with an Indian influence. Built in 1865 utilising an earlier core, the house was converted into a hotel in 1903. There have been many alterations in the 20th century including a large extension in 1986.
