Looking SW along the canal as it runs parallel to the Bristol road out of Gloucester. The excavations on the opposite bank http://www.gloucesterdocks.me.uk/canal/twomilecut/2mcutplans.htm will remove the sharp S-bend in the canal which starts in the distance.
