Priorities
13 May 2024 | All areas affected by A360 closure Response (13 May 2024)The A360 is currently closed for 3 months from Camp Hill Woodford (north of Salisbury) to the junction with the A303, Winterbourne Stoke. A diversion is in place through Amesbury and temporary weight restrictions are in place through many of the local villages. The local NPT will be patrolling and monitoring the areas when they can to ensure compliance with the restrictions and diversion. They will be supported by other departments in this. While we will do what we can to ease the situation there will be some unavoidable disruption and delayed journey times due to this work. |
13 May 2024 | ASB Concerns Response (13 May 2024)We have had a number or reports of graffiti in the areas of Boscombe Road, Archers Way and Underwood Drive in Amesbury. High visibility patrols are being conducted in and around these areas to deter further ASB and enquires are continuing to identify those involved. |
4 Sep 2024 | Hare Coursing Response (4 Sep 2024)As we move into Autumn we traditionally see an increase in hare coursing. This activity is illegal and causes damage and disruption to the land it takes place on. Local officers will be focussing their efforts on patrolling areas know to be used by hare courses and other rural locations at risk. Officers will look to deter any offences taking place and deal robustly where offences are found to have been committed. They will also look to identify areas at risk and offer security and target hardening advice to land owners where possible. |
