General Wladyslaw Anders[1892-1970] was CinC Polish Army in the Middle East and Italy. Deprived of his nationality by the Communist government in Warsaw in 1946 he became Inspector-General of Polish forces in exile and a leading voice for Polish freedom. This memorial in the Penrhos walled garden was dedicated in 2007. The year 2007 for Poles everywhere was declared the Year of General Wladyslaw Anders (ROK Generala Wladyslawa Andersa).
