The Red Lion is one of two pubs in Ilmington; it is part of the Hook Norton estate and probably fairly described as more of a local drinkers' pub than the nearby Howard Arms. Ilmington is in the part of Warwickshire that brushes the Cotswolds, and the locally quarried stone used for many of the buildings here gives a characteristic Cotswolds look to the village.
