Situated in the middle of the junction of George Street and Hanover Street, Edinburgh. The statue by Sir Francis Chantrey dating from 1831 commemorates the visit to Scotland by the King in 1822. The plinth is inscribed: GEORGE IV VISITED SCOTLAND MDCCCXXII The statue is Category A listed.
