The postbox (EviiR) is on a building just to the east of the bridge, and has been replaced by an EiiR box next to the bridge. The marker stone has WR on both faces. It is a 'bridge liability marker' indicating where county highway responsibility for the bridge started and ended. (http://www.outofoblivion.org.uk/river.asp ) See also Image for another one.
