Introduction
The photograph on this page of The plants are taking over by Richard Sutcliffe as part of the Geograph project.

This area between the pavement beside the A739, Berryknowes Road and the bridge parapet (above a large drop) has a large number of pyramidal concrete blocks. The aim is to discourage people from walking over this potentially dangerous area, but the hollows between each block are slowly filling up with soil and plants (mainly clover) are colonising the ground.
