An Anglican parish church founded in mediaeval times. The current building was restored in 1812 and subject to renovation, restoration and addition in both 1870 - 1871 and again during 1893 - 1895. The restoration in 1870 found a date of 1638 under whitewash. The interior of the church and its attendant graveyard have many memorials dating back to the early 1800's. Saint Cwrdaf was originally the son of King Caradog. He gave up his place in court to take up holy orders under Saint Illtud. The church was listed as grade II by Cadw in 1999.
