The Delting Galley Shed has recently been replaced following a great fundraising effort, the old shed being demolished in 2016 and the new Galley Shed officially opened in June 2018. https://www.shetland.org/things/events/up-helly-aa/delting-up-helly-aa The shed is where preparations for the Up-Helli-Aa are made, including the construction of the long boat that will eventually be burned in the celebrations.
