Audley End House is part of a palatial country house just to the west of Saffron Walden. Dating originally from 1605-1614, it was reduced in size and refurbished later at various times during the 18th and 19th centuries. It was used during World War II and later became an English Heritage property. Audley End House is a Grade I listed building. https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101196114-audley-end-house-saffron-walden#.XOQki3dFzwo
