Several centimetres of snow settled in a short space of time - not unusual in some parts of the UK, but a rare occurrence in Torquay - especially in mid-March. While I could have easily reversed my car out of its parking bay, it would not have made it up the steepish slope to Sutherland Road without an awful lot of snow-clearing.
