Nuisance bikes.

We have continued high?visibility patrols and enforcement work to deal with nuisance vehicles. Officers have been taking firm action, including seizing vehicles, issuing Traffic Offence Reports (TORs), and giving Section 59 warnings when needed.

A Traffic Offence Report is a report we issue when someone has broken a traffic law. The offence is reviewed and can lead to a fine, points on a driving licence, or a court summons.

A Section 59 warning is a formal warning given to someone using a vehicle in a dangerous or antisocial way. If they receive a warning and continue to behave in the same way, we have the power to seize their vehicle.

These steps help us reduce unsafe or antisocial driving and keep the area safer for everyone.

Drugs.

We continue to work closely with Medway Council to deal with ongoing problems. Officers have been identifying the addresses involved and carrying out stop searches and arrests when needed. We are also working with the community to gather information and identify the people responsible. This joint approach helps us respond quickly and keep the area safer for everyone.

Antisocial behaviour involving young people.

We have been using high visibility patrols and extra police resources to help reassure the community. This also acts as a strong deterrent to anyone thinking about taking part in antisocial behaviour.

Fly tipping and dog fouling.

Officers have been carrying out foot patrols in the area, speaking with residents and reminding people that failing to clean up after their dog is a criminal offence. We have also shared information through My Community Voice to raise awareness about dog fouling, including the issue of dog waste bags being left hanging from trees or gateposts.

Alongside this, we are working closely with Medway Council to tackle fly‑tipping by identifying problem locations and working together to help identify those responsible.

Road safety and drink/drug driving.

Officers have been carrying out patrols in the area using both marked and unmarked vehicles to tackle drivers suspected of driving under the influence.

Drug taking.

Officers have been carrying out regular, high‑visibility patrols in the area to understand what is happening and where concerns are being raised. We have focused on the locations highlighted by the community and are working closely with the parish council to gather information in the right way and help guide our response.

These patrols help to deter offending, improve road safety and provide reassurance to local residents. As a result of this work, officers have issued a number of Section 59 warnings.

A Section 59 warning is a legal warning that police can issue when a vehicle is being used in a way that causes alarm, distress or annoyance to members of the public. The warning is recorded against both the driver and the vehicle. If the same driver or vehicle is involved in further antisocial use within 12 months, police have the power to seize the vehicle. Officers will continue to carry out patrols and take action against those who use vehicles irresponsibly or antisocially.

Officers have carried out a number of stop and searches as part of proactive work to tackle drug-related activity in the area. During these searches, two people were found in possession of cannabis. They were issued with conditional cautions, which means the matter was dealt with without going to court, provided they comply with certain conditions set by the police. This approach helps hold offenders accountable while encouraging them to avoid further offending. Officers will continue to carry out targeted patrols and enforcement activity to address drug-related crime and help keep the community safe.

They were issued with conditional cautions, which means the offences were dealt with without going to court, provided they comply with conditions set by the police.
