A plaque at the birthplace of sculptor Thomas J Clapperton in Bridge Street. His postnominal letters indicate Fellow of the Royal Society of British Sculptors and in Galashiels there is a fine example of his work in the Border Reiver outside the Burgh Chambers - see Walter Baxter's photograph Image
