Opened in 1846 as "Helpstone" by the Midland Railway on the line from Peterborough to Leicester, the "e" was dropped in 1877. The station closed in 1966 and was subsequently demolished. View west at the former goods shed, now a private residence with the station site being by the former signal box in the distance. Although photographed from the adjacent East Coast Main Line, there were never any platforms on this line.
