The core of The Old Rectory is a fine cruck-framed 14th century hall-house building, albeit somewhat altered in the 17th. It attracted a Grade II listing https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101226142-the-old-rectory-shustoke#.XLHndOhKjcs & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1226142 in 1952, which describes the construction in some detail.
