The two villages of Olveston and Tockington are served by this fine old hall. The land for it was given by Colonel Henry Salmon as it was suitably positioned between them. Funds of £549 were gathered and high quality work was completed ahead of schedule. The grand opening was held amid a large turnout; the official ceremony being performed by her Grace the Duchess of Beaufort on October 31st 1901. Right beside it is the tennis club.
