Metal plate attached to concrete post by the A38, in parish of Bridgwater (Sedgemoor District), Taunton Road, North side of Rhyne Bridge and roundabout, by "Mile End" No. 6, Hamp, on grass verge in front of railings, on West side of road. Bridgewater iron plate, erected by the Bridgwater turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- 1 Mile to B.Water Somerset HER.
