Carved stone post by the A32, in parish of West Tisted (East Hampshire District), Old Lodge, partly buried in edge of woodland 50 metres north of Old Lodge, on West side of road. Chawton pillar, erected by the Gosport, Bishops Waltham, Wickham & Chawton turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- 54 Miles from LONDON 24 to GOSPORT Milestone Society National ID: HA_LGO54
