Cast iron post by the UC road (was A171), in parish of Guisborough (Redcar and Cleveland District), Whitby Road, nearly opposite entrance to Foxdale, on North side of road. NRYCC iron casting, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century. Inscription reads:- : WHITBY / 21 : : NRYCC : : GUISBOROUGH / 1 : Milestone Society National ID: YN_WYGU21
