Old Milestone in New Hey Road, Huddersfield

Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of Huddersfield (Kirklees District), was at Outlane, junction 23 M63, now in cul-de-sac off New Hey Road, by No 605, by high wall just before junction 23 M63, on South side of road. Huddersfield 'To - From' stone, erected by an unknown authority in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : FROM / HUDDERSFIELD / 3½ / MILES : : TO / HUDDERSFIELD / 3½ / MILES : Milestone Society National ID: YW_XHTF27
