Carved stone post was on B4116, Ashby Road, in parish of Measham (North West Leicestershire District), was near entrance to Norton Barn Cottages, South of Pare's Bridge, Snarestone, now in Measham churchyard, on South side, in border. Measham stone, erected by the Appleby turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- ATHERSTONE 7 MILES --- BURTON 13 MILES --- Hole in top. Milestone Society National ID: LE_ASBT07
