Carved stone post by the A1000, in parish of North Mymms (Welwyn Hatfield District), was Stanborough, North of Hatfield, now at Bell Bar, on the corner of Bell Lane, against corner of house, on West side of road. St Albans stone, erected by the Galley Corner to Lemsford turnpike trust in the 19th century. In 2019 the house was demolished and the stone has now been re-erected in a similar position on the boundary of the new development, Swan Lodge. Inscription reads:- XXI Miles from LONDON Hertfordshire HER & St Albans UAD.
