Carved stone post by the A5092, in parish of Colton (South Lakeland District), Bridge End, by old Sun Inn, 23m Northeast of Penny Bridge, in dry stone wall of garden, on Northwest side of road. Kendal number stone, erected by the Kirkby Kendal & Kirkby Ireleth turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- (K) 17 Grade II listed.
