Carved stone post by the A28, in parish of Boughton Aluph (Ashford District), Canterbury Road, opposite South wall of Ye Olde Gatehouse; North of telegraph pole, in verge on border of hedge, on West side of road. Ashford marker, erected by the Faversham to Hythe & Canterbury turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- (CANTERBURY) (11 Miles) (ASHFORD) (3) Grade II listed.
