Carved stone post by the B2070 (was A3), in parish of LISS (EAST HAMPSHIRE District), London Road, Highfield Wood; by 'Milestone Cottage', on verge by gate, on East side of road. Hartford limestone diamond, erected by the Portsmouth & Sheet Bridge turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- : (Petersfield / 4) : : (Godalming / 16) : Carved benchmark and rivet on top. Milestone Society National ID: HA_LP48
