Stone post (plate lost) by the UC road (was A12), in parish of Hopton-on-Sea (Great Yarmouth District), by-passed section of A12 now cul-de-sac, about 80yds North of gate blocking vehicle access, on verge under shrubs, on West side of road. Jacob Garrett iron plate, erected by the Ipswich to South Town, & Darsham to Bungay turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- (Yarmouth 5) (Lowestoft 4) (London 118) Norfolk HER.
