The Fitzwilliam Arms on Stamford Road in Marholm (pronounced locally as "Marram" with a short "a") is so-called because many of the buildings near to the pub were once owned by the Fitzwilliam family. It is sometimes also referred to as The Green Man in honour of the impressive example of topiary in front of the pub, which is actually a privet hedge more than 100 years old.
