On the return leg of a day trip to Lundy in May 1997 hoping to do some research for a future holiday on the island. However, on that day the sea around Lundy was deemed too rough for a landing. A trip around the island was substituted for us passengers aboard the ps (paddle steamer) Waverley. The following September I made up for that day with a week in Old Light Cottage on Lundy. Never been to Lundy before ? Want a holiday with a difference? Try a week on the island, there's plenty to keep you occupied. Accommodation can be booked with the Landmark Trust and island life does not mean a lack of facilities either. Time photo taken not available.
