Sir John Soane bought the eight originals of Hogarth's "Rake's Progress" paintings. They were installed in this room, but later Soane moved them to his house in Lincoln's Inn Fields; they are still displayed there. In Pitzhanger Manor now there are reproductions of the paintings.
