The 40 mph speed limit sign faces the southeast end of the single platform at Troed-y-Rhiw station. Next station ahead is Merthyr Vale. Although the name of the village is usually Troedyrhiw in English, the station name sign shows the Welsh Troed-y-Rhiw. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6077543
