King Edward VII Type A wall post box 1901-1910. Kelly's Directory for 1895 lists 'Pinnick John. junior, hair dresser & post office, 34 High West street'. The earliest Edwardian boxes were modified from the last Victorian designs, but midway through the reign the elaborate scroll cipher of Edward VII began to appear on post boxes. This box is by W T Allen and Co. Ltd and 1905 to 1910.
