This end of the building was formerly a barn (the Historic England entry uses the local dialect word 'mistal'), and a stone carving above a window notes that it was rebuilt in 2010. The other end of the building dates from the 18th century, and bears a plaque to former resident John Foster Image The whole is grade II listed (list entry 1230443).
