Metal plate attached to stone post by the UC road, in parish of RODBOROUGH (STROUD District), Cirencester Road; Rodborough Common, by The Hithe on verge, on East side of road. Cirencester Stroud iron plate, erected by the Cirencester to Stroud turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- STROUD 2 HAMPTON 2 CIREN.R 12 Gloucestershire CC HER.
