Cast iron post by the UC road, in parish of SPROUGHTON (BABERGH District), Hadleigh Road, Chantry Park, by the road. Garrett face iron casting, erected by the Hadleigh turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : IPSWICH / 2 / WOODBRIDGE / 9 : : SPROUGHTON / PARISH : : HADLEIGH / 8 / SUDBURY / 20 : Maker:- : J GARRETT / IRON FOUNDER / ST MARGARET'S / IPSWICH / 1832 : Milestone Society National ID: SU_HDSU08
