Stone post (plate lost) by the UC road (was A21), in parish of PEMBURY (TUNBRIDGE WELLS District), High Street, opposite Cornford Lane, East of Woodsgate Way, behind cable box near bus stop, on North side of road. Tunbridge iron plate, erected by the Tonbridge turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- (LONDON) (35) (TUNBRIDGE) (5) Kent HER.
