Carved stone post by the A6, in parish of WHITTLE-LE-WOODS (CHORLEY District), Preston Road; Lucas Green, between pavement and domestic hedge in front of No. 142, on East side of road. Lancs. CC stone triangle, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century. Inscription reads:- : TO / CHORLEY / 2 / MILES : : TO / PRESTON / 7 / MILES : Carved benchmark and pivot on bevel at top. Milestone Society National ID: LA_CYPS02.
