Metal plate attached to stone post by the A62, in parish of SADDLEWORTH (OLDHAM District), Wall Hill; opposite Lamp 26 and telegraph pole, back to stone wall, on North side of road. Brayshaw & Booth iron casting, erected by the County Council in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : HUDDERSFIELD / 14 MILES : : WAKEFIELD / & / AUSTERLANDS / ROAD / SHAWMERE / UPPER DIVISION : : OLDHAM / 3½ MILES : Maker:- : BRAYSHAW & BOOTH / MAKERS / LIVERSEDGE : Milestone Society National ID: YW_HUOD14.
