Cast iron post by the A425, in parish of LOWER AND UPPER SHUCKBURGH (STRATFORD ON AVON District), Daventry Road; 10m South of Red House Farmhouse, on the verge, on North side of road. Tarver iron casting, erected by the Warwick & Northampton turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : SOUTHAM 5 / DAVENTRY 5¼ : : NORTHAMPTON / 18 / LONDON / 78 / MILES : : WARWICK 14 / LEAMING- / -TON. 12 : Maker:- : TARVER / DAVENTRY/ FOUNDRY : Grade II listed.
