Carved stone post by the B6318, in parish of BARDON MILL (TYNEDALE District), East of Housesteads Roman Fort; at entrance to "Beggarbog", against wall at entrance; by Telegraph Pole 70, on South side of road. Military road number tombstone, erected by the Newcastle upon Tyne to Carlisle turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- 29 (To Newcastle) Northumberland HER.
