A seemingly strange name for a lane in the middle of the countryside but at one time there was a racecourse in this locality, the Holywell Racecourse near Babell. http://www.greyhoundderby.com/Holywell%20Hunt%20Racecourse.html Pant Stud Farm on the right of the lane.
