Metal plate attached to stone post by the A61, in parish of HARROGATE (HARROGATE District), Leeds Road, near Firs Avenue, on the verge in front of No.82, on West side of road. WR iron casting, erected by the County Council in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : HARROGATE / 1 MILE : : LEEDS & HARROGATE / ROAD / PANNAL : : HAREWOOD / 6 MILES / LEEDS / 14 MILES : Hole in top. Milestone Society National ID: YN_LEHG14.
