Stone post (plate lost) by the UC road, in parish of NOTTINGHAM (NOTTINGHAM District), Beeston Lane, Nottingham University grounds, by wooden fence, near gate, on East side of road. Beeston plate, erected by the Nottingham & Grantham, Western End turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- (Nottingham) (3) (Ashby de la Zouch) (19) Carved benchmark on South face. Milestone Society National ID: NT_NTTM03.
