Cast iron post by the A167, in parish of NORTHALLERTON (HAMBLETON District), entrance to Mile House Business Park, by the road, on West side of road. Northallerton iron casting, erected by the Boroughbridge & Durham turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : DARLINGTON / 15 : : LONDON / 222 : : NO'ALLERTON / 1 : North Yorkshire HER.
